It seems only natural that Walt Disney would want to open a theme park based on the movies, and so in 1989 Disney’s MGM Studios was unveiled. In January 2008, the theme park was renamed to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
As you arrive at the Studio, and head down Hollywood Boulevard, you’ll undoubtedly see Mickey’s giant Sorcerer’s hat modeled on his head wear worn in the classic Fantasia movie. Standing at 122 feet high it is sure hard to miss.
