Cheapest Interstate Flights?
A couple of American friends have found out that I would like to head to Orlando, and they're trying to arrange to meet up.
Some of them are loaded, and willing / able to fly out to us, others can't, but are begging that we fly to them. I'd really like to meet them, but it looks like interstate flights cost a fortune. I assume I must just be looking in the wrong place? Can anyone recommend any good sites for cheap interstate flights please? |

Momondo ?
Well, I've tried several flight search engines, and I've narrowed it down to three good sites.
1. Momondo.com 2. Kayak 3. Skyscanner The thing you must note down, is that these sites are NOT travelling agencies, they're search engines. You search for a flight at their site, and they refer you to the (cheapest) airline / agency's website, where you buy the ticket. Kinda like search google for a newspaper article. Google finds the most relevant article, but you still have to go to the newspaper website to read it. The three sites have some differences, nad kayak might be the best choice if you have to find a cheap interstate US flight, where as Momondo has a greater advantage, when you wanna go overseas. Hope this could help. I think this combination will show you the cheapest way to get around by plane. - Richard |

Dohop?
Hi there
Would also like to point out another flight search engine, Dohop.com, which is similar to those Richard pointed out. Has helped me a lot when looking for overseas flights - haven´t used it much for flights within the US. It´s quite user friendly because of all the filtering options, and I also like the fact that it ranks flights according to lowest price and best route (which can be useful when you don´t want to spend too many hours flying just because it´s a few dollars cheaper). Just my 2 cents... Last edited by Heather; 11-15-2007 at 10:39 AM. |
