The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando
I don't know about you guys, but I'm really looking forward to the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in late 2009 at Islands of Adventure.
We know that there will be attractions based around Hogwarts Castle and the Forbidden Forest as well as a shopping area themed as the Hogsmeade Village, but what other attractions could we have. How about a ride themed around the Quidditch game for example. Building is going on right now in an area behind the Lost Continent, so it's assumed that some of the Lost Continent rides such as Duelling Dragons will be consumed by the Wizarding World of Harry Potter land. Anyone else have any news on the construction at this moment, then it'd be great if you could post it here. Some comments from the main players: J.K.Rowling said: "The plans(for the Harry Potter theme park) I've seen look incredibly exciting, and I don't think fans of the books or films will be disappointed." Stuart Craig (Oscar winning production designer on the Potter movies and now working on the Harry Potter theme park) said: "Our primary goal(for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park) is to make sure this experience is an authentic extension of Harry Potter's world as it is portrayed in the books and films." |
