Question First timers ( but booked up) what to do?

    Hello,

This will be our first visit to Walt Disney World. Four & one seven year old, it was just going to be her & us (her grandparents) but mum & dad wanted to come as well.

Yes I know its going to be a bad time of year (July). That aside,
We have booked the dining experience, big car, & discovery cove.

We will be staying at Port Orleans (Well I liked the look of it!)

Big open question. What would you say we MUST see/do + any tips welcome ( going for 14 days). Given that only one is in to “fright” rides

    thanks in advance

Hi there Itshim and welcome to the forum. It may be a busy (and humid) time of the year, but as long as you are prepared for that, then you'll be OK.

One thing I noticed when I went to Disney World for the first time with my kids (then 5 and 6) was that the youngest would go to sleep at every evening meal as he was so tired. So, try to get to the parks early and avoid the early afternoon sun. Also, don't try and do everything however tempting that may seem.

My family friendly "must sees" include:

    1) Fantasmic at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Consider booking a Fantasmic! Dinner Package and you get reserved seating. Otherwise, turn up a good 1 1/2 early for a good seat.
    2) Philharmagic at Magic Kingdom
    3) Soarin at Epcot.

None of those are "thrill" rides per-se.

Great choice with Discovery Cove, the number of visitors is limited per day, so it doesn't get too overcrowded.

Oh I forgot to mention, Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios should also be newly opened for your visit.
