Question Need help ~ 1st trip to WDW

So this May will be my real 1st trip to WDW!

I am really looking for help on where to eat ~ it is just my hubby & I no kids~ hubby likes buffets and steak! Who doesn't?

I am also interested in the "secrets" from WDW vets ~ when is the best time to get pics with characters? Best time to arrive at parks? Where to start in each park?

What are the best shoes to wear?

Will I need a rain slicker in May?

May is a great time to go weather wise. Getting hotter, but not as oppresive as July and August. Carry a poncho around with you and you should be fine.

Footwear wise, as you will be doing a fair bit of walking wear comfortable footwear.

Steakwise, how about the Outback Steakhouse. Theres one on Vineland Road, and another opposite the Florida Mall. Alternatively if you've got a few more bucks handy how about the Yachtsman over at the Grand Floridian Resort.

My advice as to when to arrive is as always, prior to the scheduled opening time.

Which parks are you visiting, and which characters would you like to see most?

hi
been to florida 5 times and going again in april to may..always at this time of year as the weather is perfect..depends on your budget were you eat...the good family place i found was sizzles..but there are loads to choose from..the golden coral is another great one...you wont need your rain slicker....unless you are going on pop eye river boats or one of the other water rides..i have seen bits of rain in may but its over in a flash...and very rare. hope you this helps a bit...i am counting down this days until i can get back to all that magic!!
