    Hi, Christmas Planning

Hi all, new to this site but have found everyone really helpful.

I am bringing my family over to Orlando through the Christmas period, and am trying to find the best family place to take my children on Christmas Day for entertainment and eating. Children being 3, 10, 12 plus an oap and me and hubby.

    Can anyone help?

    Kind Regards
    Julie x

Hi julieiow... Are you wanting to go to one of the parks? Are you planning on eating at the parks?

I would like to try and have a themed Christmas Day so my boys can really make the most of being away at Christmas, so if the parks are open, I would prefer to go to them.

    Re: Hi, Christmas Planning

The parks are certainly open, but just bear in mind that Christmas day is one of the busiest times to visit the parks. For example, Magic Kingdom often fills up and closes the car parks because it is full to capacity.

So if you really want to go to the park on Christmas day get there well before official opening time. Definitely take advantage of the fastpasses for the rides, and probably just try to chill out as much as possible, taking in the atmosphere and not getting stressed.

If you want to eat at the parks, you can book as much as 180 days in advance for an Advanced Dining Reservation and I strongly suggest you do this.

As an alternative how about booking your Christmas lunch at the Gaylord Palms hotel. At Christmas, they have an event called ICE. Not sure if its on this year, but here's some details from last year.
