    Question Planning Character meal

I will not be staying at one of the resorts and I am wondering how early in the day I could book my meal. Can I get into the park before it actually opens if my time is say 8:30? Also I have read that the Grand Floridian is a nice place to meet the characters and is not as pricey. Is this a Resort and if so do I have to be staying at it to make a reservation? Can you help me? Thank you .

Hi nannyt5. You can phone for an Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR) at a park for breakfast, and if the time of your ADR is before park opening you can get in.

For example, if your ADR is for 08:00, turn up at the park for 07:45, then when you've finished breakfast, you can continue into the park. If you're dining at a resort, just drive to the resort and tell the guard you have an ADR, and they'll let you park up.

The 1900 Park Fare Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at the Grand Floridian is an all-you-can-eat buffet, and is up there as one of the best character meals. Characters include Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland and The Mad Hatter.

Thanks Spondishy! Is the Grand Floridian in one of the parks or is it going to be hard to find since I don't know anything about the area?

It's not in the park, the Grand Floridian is a resort in the Magic Kingdom area though. So you could follow directions to the Magic Kingdom and park up at the Transport and Ticket Center (TTC). This is where you park for MK anyhow.

From the TTC, take the monorail to the Grand Floridian.

This isn't finished yet, but I've been building up some interactive maps of the Orlando area.

Here's a link to the Magic Kingdom one. Zoom around on that and you should get a feel of where the Grand Floridian is:

Thank you. Your map gave me an idea of where things are situated.
